Brief Bio

Amanda completed her B.Proc in 2003 at the University of South Africa. Prior to completion of the undergraduate qualification, Amanda spent many years working in legal administration which included the Black Lawyers Legal Education Centre (Law Clinic), the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Land Claims Commission. 


Post-masters, Amanda was employed at the Centre for Critical Research on Race and Identity, contributing towards several research projects as well financial administration. Amanda joined IIE VC Sandton as a full-time lecturer in 2014 and CAT as a Head of Programme for Law in 2018. Amanda was promoted to Senior Head of Programme for Law in February 2020. 


She has acted as a supervisor for final – year law students completing their research component on the University of the Free State (UFS) Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and is also the faculty's teaching and learning champion.
