Brief Bio
Bronwyn Le-Ann Batchelor is the Head of Faculty of Law, which position she took occupation of in March 2021. She holds a BComm (Law), LLB, LLM and LLD. After several years in practice, first as a partner in a law firm and then as a Director of her own firm, as an attorney, certified mediator, notary and conveyancer, Bronwyn moved into academia at a public University where she ran the Extended Curriculum Programme for Law for 5 years and then became Head of Department: Public Law.
Bronwyn has published articles in her research interest areas of family law, constitutional law and commercial law. Bronwyn’s passion and commitment to teaching and learning in Higher Education saw her complete a UK Teaching Fellowship under the UK Professional Standards Framework in 2020 and be awarded the title of Senior Fellow. Bronwyn was also awarded The IIE CAT Emerging Researcher of the Year Award in 2023. Bronwyn has examined LLMs externally and supervised LLM and LLB research students.
