Brief Bio
Ilhaam Khan is a legal academic with a specialization in tax law and intellectual property. She currently serves as Head of Programme: Law at the Independent Institute of Education.
With over five years of tertiary teaching experience, she has lectured a broad range of legal subjects—including Cyber Law, Civil Procedure, International Law, and Advanced Tax—at institutions such as Varsity College, IIE MSA, and the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Ilhaam has played a key role in curriculum and assessment development and has supervised honours research.
Her academic qualifications include an LLM in Business Law, awarded with distinction for Advanced Tax and IP, and she has a keen research interest in the intersection of taxation and intellectual property law
