Brief Bio

Nicole Mason graduated from Wits in 1993 with a degree in Architecture. She practiced as an architect for 17 years before embarking on an MBA with The Gordon Institute of Business Science. Her research for her Masters was entitled The Management of Creative Design Professionals, however after graduating she changed career to become a lecturer at the IIE VEGA School of Interior Design.


She currently teaches Design and History of Architecture as well as supervising honours students and lecturing in Research Methodology and Design Leadership. She has developed a number of modules and assessments for the Interior Design curriculum. She lives in Johannesburg with her husband and two daughters.
